General guidance
Family courts decide custody based on the "best interests of the child" standard, not on which parent was faithful. An affair, by itself, is rarely treated as a custody factor — courts generally only consider it relevant if it's shown to have directly affected the child, for example through neglect or inappropriate exposure. Child support calculations are typically formula-based on income and parenting time, and are separate from any fault question entirely.
